Keni-Duke Hetet

Chair

Keni-Duke is of Māori (– Ngāti Maniapoto) descent and is originally from Te Kuiti in the central North Island. Keni-Duke has excellent communication skills and a wide range of experience in all areas of public, commercial, industrial, educational and residential architecture, with a particular emphasis on cultural works. He places a high level of emphasis on Māori design principles and tikanga to inform spatial and architectural design in education, cultural, civic, commercial, residential and landscape projects. Keni-Duke brings over 20 years’ experience in all areas of the  built environment.

Mareikura began her role as coordinator in September 2021. Born and raised in Maniapoto before moving down to Te Tauihu. Attending Garin College in Richmond and Aranmore Catholic College in Perth, Western Australia. Mareikura says the role has been a huge learning venture for her, but she has enjoyed every step of it. Her highlights so far have been connecting with new people, developing the Toiere website and digital marketplace, and supporting whānau business needs. She has loved the opportunity and appreciates the support she has received and says it is a privilege to learn from and work with Sacha, Chan, and her own whānau.

Sacha Macdonald

Sacha MacDonald of Ngā Puhi, Ngāti Ruanui, Ngā Ruahine and European decent has over 20 years’ experience in business management, human resources, capability development and management accounting. Frequently called upon for organisational capability, recruitment and human capital development projects.

An entrepreneur herself, currently founder and co-founder several businesses, Sacha utilises her years of experience managing businesses and teams to effectively deliver excellence. Her philosophy to business is to develop the people within the business, building their capability to be successful. She is passionate about Māori business and how this can transpire into developing individuals and the wider community around them.

Her primary business Rezource is an outsourcing company. Rezource is a workforce management and recruitment company, operating a shared employee model delivering shared capability and skills with a number of our clients.

Her passion for Māori entrepreneurship is ignited through her company Arewa. Arewa supports Māori development initiatives, organisations and individuals looking to grow agile businesses.

A graduate of the Darden School of Business, an Edmund Hillary Fellow and an EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women 2017, Sacha is driven to create social impact initiatives by creating agile and scalable business models where people are at the heart of the organisation.
